Patchwork Lone Star Quilt Pattern - PDF
Original quilt pattern design by Lindlee Smith of Plains and Pine.
This design is a variation on the classic Lone Star Quilt. The purpose of this pattern is to make a patchwork Lone Star by using what you already have on hand. It is perfect for using remaining fabric from Fat Quarters, Fat Eighths or yardage from previous projects. This patchwork Lone Star can also be made with a portion of a Jelly Roll or super scrappy using smaller scraps from your fabric stash. I recommend at least 8 different fabrics to achieve the patchwork look.
Includes instructions for three sizes:
Crib (48" x 48")
Small Throw (56" x 66")
Large Throw (66" x 72")
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - It requires cutting and sewing on a bias, sewing with a consistent 1/4" seam, and precision to match diamond points. The pattern includes tips on how to do this accurately.
Unlike most Lone Star Quilts, there are no Y seams in this quilt pattern.
